Best Anchorage Restaurants

Despite all the restaurant choices to be found in the Anchorage area, there are clear-cut favorites amongst tourists and year-round Alaskans.

Here is a quick look at some of Best Anchorage Restaurants...according to me and other Alaskans:

Double Musky Inn $$$$

Mile .3 of Crow Creek Rd in Girdwood, AK
1-907-783-2822

The Double Musky is very popular amongst Alaskans.  It is located 45 minutes south of Anchorage in the town of Girdwood and has been been around since 1962.

For years now, the Double Musky has drawn national attention.  In recent years The Food Network named Double Musky in it's "Top Ten Places"  and named it's pepper steak as "best in America"!

They serve up a classic New Orleans menu prepared with Alaska seafood such as crab meat dressing stuffed halibut served with Creole burre blanc sauce. They also serve shrimp ettoufee, shrimp and sausage jambalaya, lobster KaBobs and salmon au poirve, among other mouth-watering dishes.

The Double Musky is only open for dinner (5:00pm) and does not take reservations.  It is first come first serve and there is usually a line at the door...especially on the weekends.  Website

This is not an all inclusive list, of course.  I'll be adding more of the best of Anchorage Restaurants as we discover them.  I'm a creature of habit and I love a sure thing.

This keeps me from trying new restaurants, but I promise I'll try to break that habit  ;)
